When: Sign-in starts at 9:00am @ Barton Park
Where:
Meet at Barton Park

Register at: www.welovecleanrivers.org

Need directions? Google Map to Barton Park

What to bring: Your boat (kayak, canoe, raft or drift boat), pfd, whistle, water, sunscreen, appropriate clothing and a camera. We'll bring the rest! Volunteers will clean up the Lower Clackamas River from Barton down to Clackamette Park.  Each volunteer will be assigned to pod that will clean up one segment along one stretch of the river.

If you don't have a boat and plan to ride in a raft: Please  wear clothing that wicks moisture away and dries quickly (synthetic fibers such as nylon or polypropylene are good - no cotton or jeans!), sandals or shoes that can get wet, sunglasses, sunscreen & water. We will provide you with a PFD, paddle, raft and raft captain!

Volunteer to help clean up trash along a stretch of the lower Clackamas.   Upon arriving at the event you'll be assigned to a pod that will scour roughly a 1-mile stretch. Hardshell kayakers, inflatable kayakers, rafters, catarafters, canoers, and drift boaters are all welcome! This is an event for non-motorized watercraft. Volunteers without a boat will be assigned to paddle rafts...but you need to register prior to the event! Rafts wil be captained by experienced rafters who will provide you with the guidance you need to safely make it down the river.

Shuttles will be provided for rafters to Riverside and Clackamette Park at the beginning / end of the day. Individual boaters (kayakers, canoers, driftboaters) need to arrange their own shuttles.

After a fun-filled day of river running and hauling out trash, you're invited to wrap up the day back at Carver Park for a BBQ, live music and awards!  Music this year by Jim Brunberg (of Mississippi Studios).

Event includes a silent auction and raffle to benefit We Love Clean Rivers, Inc., an organization dedicated to turning restoration into recreation.
