Clackamas River Rafting Details

About 20 minutes outside of Estacada Oregon, your trip starts by meeting your guides at the Moore Creek rafting access. There are bathrooms and changing rooms there, and you will be suited up with wet suits / booties, and PFDs.  You will leave your car here and get a ride up in our van to the Hole in the Wall River access point about 7 miles up river.  After a safety talk and one last potty break, you will receive a paddle talk from your guides and set off into whitewater.

Just downstream you will navigate Hole in the Wall Rapid which is a thrilling class III+ rapid.  You will get a chance to view the Clackamas River Trail and the post fire landscape on the way down toward Fish Creek Rapids.  You will run Armstrong and Carter Bridge (the biggest rapid on the section), and then continue down through Big Eddy, Toilet Bowl and Bob’s Hole.  You will leave about river reading and teamwork as you navigate the rapids with your guide steering the boat.

As you finish the run you will feel a sense of awe and new found respect for not only the river, but the landscape.  You can see more of the spectacular geography now post fire, and it is truly one of Oregon’s unique whitewater runs not to be missed.

Operating by permit authorized by the US Forest Service in Mount Hood National Forest.
