Clackamas River

The lower Clackamas is the perfect place to enjoy a float!

Whether you are looking for a scenic float filled with wildlife (ospreys, herons, fish swimming through the crystal clear water, and even bald eagle) or looking for an introduction to the world of river-running, the Lower Clackamas is the place for you! Beginning off of Olallie Butte and flowing through the Mt. Hood National Forest, the Clackamas River is a classic whitewater river in close proximity to Portland. This trip will take you through a tranquil stretch of easy class I-II rapids with scenic views of eagle nests and Mt. Hood. This trip lasts about 2.5 hours. The Clackamas River is about a 20 minute drive from Portland. We typically meet at Clackamette Park in Oregon City at the confluence of the Willamette River and the Clackamas River.

eNRG will provide all the essential gear needed for the trip. All you need to bring is sun protection and some extra water!

Inflatable Kayak

Clackamas River

We highly recommend exploring the Clackamas in an inflatable kayak (single or tandem), where you will be sure to have a more wet and wild ride!

Clackamas River

If you are looking for a tamer experience, consider rafting (with up to 6 of your closest friends!) the river with an experienced guide.

We meet-up near the boat ramp at Clackamette Park – 1955 Clackamette Dr., Oregon City. Look for an eNRG vehicle 15 minutes before the trip start time.

Fun for all ages

We do offer tandem kayaks for a child to partner with an adult. If a child is small (around 4 years old) the parent can often paddle with the child in their lap.
