PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Anyone can learn how to kayak! Just bring a positive attitude and we’ll provide the rest! eNRG Kayaking runs a year-round whitewater kayak team based out of Oregon City. eNRG Kayaking select students based on their maturity shown through their discipline, dedication, and willingness to learn. This community environment allows students to pursue racing in the Olympic sport of slalom, internships for future employment opportunities, and a lifelong passion.

HOW TO JOIN

Recommendations: Students are encouraged to participate in Discovery camp or have prior paddling experience. After completion, counselors will recommend a select group of kids that display COACHABILITY to try out for the kayak team. 

Try-outs: Students have two options to try out for the team: complete one week of our whitewater focused Adventure Camp OR complete the first month of the youth kayak team. At the end of the camp / month, potential students will be re-evaluated on how well they would fit in with the team based on their discipline and willingness to learn. 

If your child has whitewater experience and is interested in joining the team OR has no experience but wants to learn, please contact us for more information and accommodations.

OUR POLICIES

Custom Trips

Please call eNRG Kayaking at (503) 772 -1122 for large groups or other special requests and exceptions.

Restrictions

Children under 11 years must undergo additional evaluation before acceptance onto the team.

Weather

Trips run rain or shine, except during extreme conditions such as lightning, high winds, and excessive smoke.

Enrollment

2 person minimum. Multiple parties may join the same session to fulfill this requirement.

If we cancel

eNRG receives the right to cancel based on weather and low enrollment. Trips will be rescheduled or be given full credit.

If you cancel

21 days notice: 75% refund, credit, or free rescheduling.
14 days notice, 50% refund, credit, $15/person rescheduling. Otherwise, non-refundable.

PREPARE FOR YOUR TRIP

Sign Waivers

Waivers must be signed once per year if on a membership plan. Once per session if doing drop in.

What to Bring

Water, sunscreen, lunch (river runs) clothing that can get wet, and additional layers / change of clothing based on weather.

Please arrive at your start time. Parking may be limited so factor that into your arrival time.
