This course combines advanced technical skills with professional instructor training, offering a nationally recognized certification and raft guide endorsement.

Come join eNRG Kayaking & Rafting for our ACA whitewater raft instructor certification workshop in Oregon City May 7-12, 2026. This six day program will take place on the moving and whitewater rivers: Willamette, , Santiam and Sandy. We will be welcoming Jess Lewis from Wyld Heart as the visiting ACA Trainer for this course.
Free camping is available at "the Homestead" along the Lower Clackamas River for out of town participants and we will be providing snacks and warm drinks during the course. This course can not only certify you as a , but we have added the raft guide certification endorsement as an additional benefit for all participants.
$750/person + Pay your own ACA & SEIC Dues.

Prepare For Your Course
AFTER BOOKING:
You must be or become an ACA member and a member of the SEIC (Safety, Education, Instruction Committee) prior to the course. Sign online waivers and share them with fellow participants.
WHAT TO BRING:
All instructor candidates are required to bring cold water immersion gear (Drysuit/Wetsuit). Instructor candidates are required to provide their own food (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
WHERE TO MEET:
1701 Clackamette Dr. Oregon City OR 97045 (or as designated in pre-course email). Free camping available at the Homestead (Details provided upon request).
ARRIVAL TIME:
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time. Be rigged and ready to go by 9:00 AM.
WHAT WE PROVIDE:
We will be providing snacks and warm drinks during the course. We will be using our AIRE raft fleet during the course.

PREREQUISITES:
Ages 18+. Must be a current ACA Member. Competency in technical knowledge, paddling skills, and safety awareness at the desired level of certification is required.
WEATHER:
Courses run rain or shine, except during extreme conditions including lightning, high winds, and excessive smoke onsite.
IF YOU CANCEL:
45+ days advance notice: 50% of fee refunded.
14+ days advance notice: 50% credit issued.
Less than 14 days notice: No refund or credit.
IF WE CANCEL:
eNRG Kayaking reserves the right to postpone or cancel due to inclement weather, under enrollment (4 person min), or other unforeseen circumstances. Full refund issued in this instance.
