The Youth Kayak Team paddles all year round both in the pool and on the river. This instruction focused after school program builds leadership and risk management skills while improving paddling technique, leading to future racing and internship opportunities.
Team Details
Anyone can learn how to kayak! Just bring a positive attitude and we'll provide the rest! eNRG Kayaking runs a year-round whitewater kayak team based out of Oregon City. The team focuses on while building and risk management skills. This means we hand-select students to try out for the team based on their discipline and willingness to learn (NOT based on skill – that's our job to teach them). We also offer optional internships and further development in the Olympic discipline of slalom . Activities for paddlers of all skill levels include – river runs, after school practices, pool classes, and local/national/international .
Pricing & Schedule:
Pricing varies by activity: $35 for outdoor practices, $55 for pool practices, and $165 for river runs. Monthly membership discount plans are also available. View our current practice and event schedule here.
Prep For Your Team
Sign online waivers and share them with your fellow party members. Waivers must be filled out by each party member on every visit.
Water, sunscreen, clothing that can get wet, lunch for river runs, and additional warmth layers / change of clothing based on weather.

Please arrive at your start time. Parking may be limited so factor that into your arrival time.
Instructors, shuttle, craft (kayak), lifejacket, and a paddle.
Team Policies
Please call eNRG Kayaking at (503) 772 - 1122 for large groups or other special requests and exceptions.
Ages 6+. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian for initial signup. Must be at least 50 lbs.
Trips run rain or shine, except during extreme conditions including lightning, high winds, and excessive smoke onsite.
72+ hours notice – 85% refund, free reschedule, or voucher. 72-24 hours notice – free reschedule or voucher. 24-0 hours notice – all refund/benefits forfeited.
eNRG Kayaking reserves the right to postpone or cancel any trip due to inclement weather, under enrollment, or other unforeseen circumstances, and will issue a full refund in this instance.
