7th Annual PNW 24-Hour Relay To Raise Money for Cancer

Calling all paddlers and community supporters! The Hood River Event Site will be the center of strength and resilience this April 20th-21st as the PNW 24-Hour Paddle Relay returns for its 7th year. This isn’t your typical race; it’s a 24-hour commitment to raise money for families battling cancer, organized by the Small Steps Collective.

Since its inception in 2017, the PNW 24-Hour Relay has become a beloved Hood River tradition. It’s more than just a paddling competition; it’s a community event that brings together survivors, caregivers, and those who’ve lost loved ones to cancer. Here, everyone paddles for a cause, united by a shared experience and a desire to make a difference.

The Small Steps Collective is dedicated to creating a safe space for those touched by cancer. The PNW 24-Hour Relay embodies that spirit. Participants can form teams or join existing ones, taking turns paddling throughout the 24-hour period. It’s a test of endurance, but more importantly, a testament to the collective strength found in the community.

This year marks the 7th year of the event, and the Small Steps Collective hopes to add to their previous fundraising efforts of $65,000. Money raised goes towards providing financial assistance and emotional support to local families facing the challenges of cancer.

Whether you’re a seasoned paddler or simply want to show your support, there’s a place for you at the PNW 24-Hour Relay. Join the Small Steps Collective in making a splash for a cause, celebrate the spirit of survivors, and remember those we’ve lost.
