Meet Your Instructor: Yoga By The River

Hi, I’m Christine—founder of Drishti Wellness and your guide for this summer’s Yoga + Paddle Series at eNRG Kayaking.
 
My yoga journey began back in 1997, and over the years it’s grown from a curious exploration into a lifelong practice that supports me physically, emotionally, and spiritually. What started on a mat over two decades ago has evolved into a holistic approach to living—one that blends movement, breath, nature, and intentional rest.
After spending years working as a marine biologist, I found myself burnt out and craving deeper alignment in both body and life. Yoga became my anchor during that transition, helping me reconnect with purpose and well-being. Today, I share these tools through accessible classes that welcome all bodies and backgrounds, with a focus on mindful movement, breathwork, and seasonal wellness practices rooted in Ayurveda.

My love for water is equally long-standing. I’ve always felt at home near rivers and oceans, and in 2019, while living just a block from the beach in Florida, I bought an inflatable paddleboard and started paddling regularly. My favorite routes took me through the bayous—quiet, winding paths where I’d spot dolphins, manatees, and even the occasional alligator! Those moments of stillness and awe stayed with me, and I’ve been passionate about combining yoga and paddling ever since.
 
This summer, I’m thrilled to be partnering with eNRG Kayaking to offer a unique blend of yoga and paddling—the perfect way to reset your body and mind in nature. Together, we’re creating experiences that invite you to slow down, breathe deeply, and connect with the water in a whole new way. Whether you’re brand new to yoga or simply looking for a unique way to move and reset outdoors, these events are designed to leave you refreshed, grounded, and inspired.
