New Rafting Manager Position Available on the Clackamas River

Upper Clackamas River Manager Position

Start Date: May, 2024

Background: eNRG Kayaking and Rafting is looking for an Upper Clackamas River Manager / Lead Guide for the 2024 season.  This is a brand new opportunity as we are a new USFS permit holder in Mt Hood National Forest- an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a multi-year venture with large growth potential.  Not only will we be running raft trips, kayak instruction, and guide training / river rescue programs, but we also just received the campground concession for the upper river and will be integral in helping re-open several campgrounds in the corridor post 2020 wildfire.  

Job Opportunity:  Northwest River Guides LLC dba eNRG Kayaking & Rafting based in Oregon City is looking a Upper Clackamas River Manager for 2024 and beyond.  This is a managerial role with leadership skills required in addition to 3-5 seasons of whitewater guiding experience.  References required that can speak to management and whitewater skills. Vehicle required. 

Additional relevant skills: food prep, driving trailers (mechanical skills a plus), and / or photography. 

Salary: to be negotiated based on experience, availability, and capacity. Advanced certifications will be looked at favorably and will increase the overall compensation package.  

Season: May 1-Sept 30.  Subsidized housing available for the right candidate. 

Where: The Upper Clackamas River is located in Mt Hood National Forest just 40 minutes from Portland, Oregon and about 1.5 hours from Hood River/ White Salmon.  Bagby & Austin Hot Springs are not far away and we have a 4 acres river base on the lower river (about 30 minutes drive from the base of the run) with camping and housing opportunities.
